Rental Policy

This Rental Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and responsibilities governing all equipment rentals through SLX Productions. Clients are required to review the information below prior to booking, pickup, or delivery to ensure a clear understanding of rental requirements and obligations.

BUSINESS HOURS

SLX Productions is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, excluding holidays. Appointments outside of standard business hours—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—are available upon request and may incur an opening service charge.

RENTAL PERIOD

All rentals are subject to a one-day minimum. Equipment must be returned by 10:00 AM to avoid an additional rental day charge. Weekly rates, down days, and travel days are available by request and must be approved in advance.
The lessee is responsible for any losses resulting from cancellation. Rental fees are not transferable toward equipment purchases.

RENTAL PRICES

All rental pricing is per day unless stated otherwise. Published rates are subject to change at any time without notice.

CANCELATIONS

Any cancellation made less than forty-eight (48) hours prior to scheduled equipment pickup or delivery may be subject to cancellation charges. The lessee agrees to compensate SLX Productions for any losses incurred as a result of the cancellation of all or part of an order.

INSURANCE

All rentals require the lessee to maintain a valid insurance policy for the full duration of the rental period. The lessee must provide insurance coverage equal to the full new replacement value of all rented equipment, including coverage for loss, theft, or damage. Rental fees shall not be applied toward or deducted from replacement costs.

Certificates of Insurance must be submitted to SLX Productions prior to the release of equipment. Written verification from the lessee’s insurance provider confirming active coverage is required. Equipment will not be released until all insurance documentation has been received and approved; lessees are advised to plan accordingly.

SLX Productions must be named as Additional Insured and Loss Payee on all applicable insurance policies.

A summary of required coverage is below:
- $2,000,000 General Liability
- $1,000,000 Personal Injury
- Evidence of Workers’ Compensation
- If a Vehicle or Tow Generator Is Rented: $1,000,000 Hired Auto Coverage
- Equipment Coverage for Full Replacement Value

LIABILITY

SLX Productions shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury of any kind, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, arising from the actions or services of drivers, technicians, operators, or any other personnel, or from any services provided in connection with the rental or use of the equipment.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit may be required for new accounts prior to the release of rental equipment. The minimum security deposit shall be no less than the deductible of the lessee’s provided insurance policy. The required deposit amount is determined by SLX Productions based on the scope, value, and duration of the rental.

Security deposits are held as assurance against loss, damage, late return, cancellation charges, or breach of the rental agreement. SLX Productions reserves the right to apply all or part of the security deposit toward unpaid rental charges, repair or replacement costs, or any other amounts owed by the lessee.

Any remaining balance of the security deposit, if applicable, will be returned following the inspection and reconciliation of all equipment after its return, provided all obligations under the rental agreement have been satisfied. Rental fees shall not be applied toward or deducted from replacement costs.

Additional terms and conditions regarding security deposits are outlined in the Lease Agreement, which governs all rentals.

EQUIPMENT CONDITION

All equipment is rented in good working condition and is deemed accepted by the lessee upon release unless otherwise noted in writing. The lessee is responsible for inspecting all equipment prior to use.

Equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, normal wear and tear excepted.

DAMAGED EQUIPMENT

The lessee is fully responsible for any damage to rented equipment occurring during the rental period, regardless of cause.

All repair costs, including labor, parts, and testing required to restore damaged equipment to proper working condition, shall be paid by the lessee as determined by SLX Productions.

If any equipment is damaged beyond repair, the lessee shall be responsible for the full new replacement value of the equipment. Rental fees shall not be applied toward or deducted from replacement costs.

LOST & STOLEN EQUIPMENT

The lessee is responsible for the full new replacement value of any equipment that is lost, stolen, or not returned.

Replacement cost shall be determined solely by the SLX Productions Rental Department. Rental charges shall not be credited toward replacement costs.

The lessee authorizes SLX Productions to charge repair costs, replacement costs, or unpaid balances against the security deposit and/or any payment method on file.

Failure to return equipment, return of damaged equipment, or violation of rental terms may result in immediate charges without further notice.

EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION

The lessee shall not remove, alter, obscure, or cover any identification tags, serial numbers, labels, or nameplates indicating ownership by SLX Productions.

Removal or tampering with equipment identification constitutes a breach of the rental agreement and may result in immediate replacement charges.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The lessee agrees to pay all rental charges for equipment and/or vehicle rentals. In the event that any equipment, or any part thereof, is lost, damaged, destroyed, or detained due to fire, accident, casualty of any kind, act of God, or any other cause, the lessee agrees to pay the full replacement value of the equipment so lost, damaged, destroyed, or detained, as well as all accrued rental charges. In the event of damage, the lessee agrees to pay all accrued rental charges in addition to the full cost of all necessary repairs.
Rental charges shall remain due and payable regardless of whether loss or damage has occurred. The obligation to pay rent shall only cease upon full payment of all losses suffered by the lessor.

The lessee further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the lessor, its agents, and employees from and against any and all losses, damages, claims, demands, liabilities, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever, including legal fees, arising from the use, condition (including, without limitation, latent or other defects), or operation of the rented equipment by any person during the rental term. This indemnification shall remain in full force and effect during and after the rental term for any causes arising during the rental period.

The lessee agrees to all terms and conditions outlined in the Lease Agreement and Guarantee of Equipment Lease.
